“My daughter has attended Happy Trails since she was 12 months old and is now 7. I have some great memories because of the teachers. I remember noticing my daughter using her hands to make certain motions soon after I enrolled her. I had no idea what she was doing until I walked into her classroom and saw her using these gestures with her teacher! It was baby sign language!! The teacher took time to show me the signs. My daughter could now tell me “more milk please,” “hungry” and “thank you” before she knew how to speak the words! Now she is in the 2nd grade and attends before and after school care and the staff is wonderful. As a working mom, I am extremely thankful the teachers allot a time to help with homework. Mrs. Cindy, Mrs. Tristen are always kind and helpful and have been so generous in unusual personal matters and they treat my daughter like family. The model of learning along the way to prepare for school is a wonderful way to build a future student up. The reinforcing of the values of friendship, compassion and kindness means a lot to us. We have witnessed so many instances of warmth and generosity from the staff to our boys and to other children at the center. Your positive messaging has contributed to shaping our sons into thoughtful and kind boys. They enjoy learning new things. A mere thank you seems inadequate.
For 8 years, our trust in you never wavered. Staff would come and go, but the new staff would always stay on the consistent message. We always knew our boys were safe when at the center. The most minor of bumps and scrapes were presented to us. If there was even a hint of illness, we were called. Our boys were your boys. That meant the world to us. You helped us out when we needed it and we will never forget that. You believed in us as much as we believed in your mission. What Happy Trails does is important and challenging work. It takes special people to care for other's children as their own. You stand in for us when we are not there. Please know you are all appreciated.
